We are a small team obsessed with matchmaking

We’re builders and gamers. Our mission is to give players gaming experiences that are worth their time and money. We’re doing that by creating the best skill-based matchmaking systems.

OUR STORY

It started in Tallinn

Adrian and Charlie met at LIFT99 in Tallinn, where a friendship formed around games, startups, and technical problems worth obsessing over. Robin joined the picture soon after, while reviving HAWKEN and searching for better MMR. It did not take us long to realize we should build something together.

HOW WE WORK

Remote,
from Telliskivi

Our home base is in Telliskivi, Tallinn, but Invokation has always been a distributed company. The team spans Estonia, Sweden, Belgium, and a few places in between.

FOUNDERS

Meet our Leadership Team

Charlie Olson

Founder, CEO

Charlie wrote the MMR system for Call of Duty and has spent the last decade fixing the way games handle skill. He sees every edge case before it happens and builds systems that hold up under millions of players. If something’s off in your ranked experience, he already knows why.

Adrian Suarez

Co-Founder, COO

Adrian has run finance and operations for global tech companies for 20 years. He’s built systems, closed rounds, fixed broken models, and kept teams running on both sides of the Atlantic. He makes sure we don’t burn the place down while we’re building the future of matchmaking.

Robin Van Cauter

Co-Founder, CTO

Robin brought HAWKEN back from the dead and has been building real-time infrastructure ever since. He writes elegant code in Rust, hates anything bloated, and obsesses over performance at scale. When our systems work like magic, it's probably because of him.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Let's talk matchmaking

Skill, match quality, and live operations are easier to shape early than fix later. Let’s talk before complexity sets in.
